What will be your famous last words?
Submitted by ngocaroo.
"Does anyone have any chocolate?" :)
Well life here in India is hot as hell as per usual, but we're having tons of fun... from sarees to bindis to 5 new pairs of shoes! Pictures to come shortly... we haven't uploaded them yet, and frankly, I have taken less pictures this trip because I'm just so exhausted from all of the preparations!
More updates to come soon... Mehendhi tomorrow, Thread Ceremony and Party on Sunday.

What is your favorite day of the week?
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. *In monster truck rally voice*
For a million reasons... but the highlights are: dinner at mom's, relaxation day, we usually don't do a whole lot on Sundays... but we almost always have an afternoon nap :) THE BEST I tell you...
How have people mispronounced your name? How is it supposed to sound?
Submitted by Lorie.
Nanette - it's not so tough... 'Na - net but it is truly shocking how many different names I have been referred to as... Lynette, and Annette are the common ones... then there are Danette, and if you can imagine Ganette.... these are just a few of the winners when it comes to pronunciation... when someone actually has to write it out... forget it. It is like half of the population forgot how to spell and sound things out. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!
However, it has helped me develop one very positive skill... I am adamant about pronouncing and spelling other people's names properly. This has become an increasing interesting task now that I am marrying someone from the other side of the world... where the syllables in peoples names come in very different patterns then what I am used to here in North America. For example, Srichand - my father in law Sri - chund is how it's pronounced. Suraiya - Aju's mother's friend, Pramila, Pratiba, Siddharth, Madhu, Neerja, Nupoor, Chaitanya, Manoj, Pratiba - I could go on forever. Admittedly, it is easier to pronounce them once I have seen them written down, but if I am just being introduced and have to repeat the name... it is damn tough, especially when it's being delivered with an accent! Fun times :)
My fiance, Ajay - poor bugger. Everyone in North America calls him A J - and not Ah-J as it is meant to be pronounced. He just goes along with it to make it easier for everyone, but I am generally right behind him correcting people. In my own way, I guess that I have just gone along with it too when it comes to my name, as I just respond to anything with "ette" on the end of it and hope for the best!
** This was a great question of the day!
If you could open a restaurant, any kind you want, what would it look like and what's on the menu?
Submitted by A is for Amy.
Aju and I have spoken of this a number of times as it's a dream of his... a bit less of one for me because I fear the time commitment that it would demand.
We'd love to open an Indian restaurant here, something with really warm colours, tables and chairs in one area and a cushion section in another... and private little cove areas for intimate dinners. Menu items would be more inclusive of traditional South Indian fare, but at reasonable prices... making it affordable and still elegant.
I see lots of reds, oranges and yellows through out, with ornate dieties offering blessings and hope to the clientele. Soft lighting, soothing musical undertones and a very family delivered atmosphere. It's more like welcoming someone into your home for a meal than your business.
Will it ever happen? If Aju has his way it will... for me, lets just see how he makes out with working and managing kids first!
Have you ever Googled your own name? How did you feel about the results?
Submitted by elen.
Yeah, and I had GREAT results. I found my name on a list of outstanding state tax refunds from Mass ( I lived there for a while in 2000) anywho, I contacted them and indicated that my name showed on a list on the internet from their website, they verified my info and sent me a cheque for $300! I highly recommend googling yourself :)
What's your favorite heartbreak song?

Unbreak My Heart - Toni Braxton ... that song is a real tear jerker!
What song makes you rock the karaoke mic?
Submitted by Ann.
I Will Survive... Gloria Gainor - a small group of us have been dubbed the "Disco Divas" for our renditions of this song. I can't think of a time that I've done karaoke alone... but it would surely be an R&B classic, like Lean on Me, or Stand By Me, or Son of a Preacher Man... I love classic R&B, songs that eminate in your soul.
What's your method for calculating a tip?
I don't understand why people find this tough... when out to dinner with friends, someone from the group will enevitably ask me how much I'm leaving for a tip. Here's my criteria:
Table is clean, server is curteous and order is correct = 10-15%
Table is clean, server is pleasant, prompt, curteous and order is correct = 20% or a minimum of $4.00 depending on which is greater.
All of the above and refills drinks without being asked = 25% or a minimum of $5.00
Failure to be curteous, prompt or an incorrect order, usually results in no tip. But it takes a lot to get me that pissed that I don't tip. I respect that someone is waiting on me, and it's not a job that I'd like to do, so I tend to try and be grateful for the service I receive.

What would the title of your autobiography be?
Submitted by princesskasren.
Some Have Gone and Some Remain - It's a line from my all time favourite song, In My Life by the Beatles. I think for me, what has shaped me the most is not necessarily the things that have happened in my life, but the people I've shared it with, the good and the bad.
lol, the QotD really has me thinking... great one princesskasren!
